Still unsuccessfully trying to install (BUG-159795 & 159919). The stage3
installation without GRB or DYN ticked aborts while building libusb-0.1.10a.

I'm aware of BUG-157611 (problems emerging this lib with multiple parallel
units via MAKEOPTS=-jN for N>1), but I tried again today with MAKEOPTS=-j1
and got exactly the same abort. Any further suggestions? Since using the
latest CVS-installer didn't fix a GRB/DYN install (see BUG-159919), I doubt
upgrading it for this approach would do any good.

Just because you use the installer doesn't make it an installer bug. Anyway, don't use the provided snapshot. Fetch a newer one or sync the tree. There's a newer version stable that fixes this.
