Description Costin Stroie 2007-01-04 07:42:36 UTC
The manpages of 'x11-drivers/synaptics-0.14.5-r1' are misplaced and uncompressed.

Here is an excerpt of 'equery f'
/usr/share/man1
/usr/share/man1/synclient.1
/usr/share/man1/syndaemon.1
/usr/share/man5
/usr/share/man5/synaptics.5

It has been in the tree for 2 months with no outstanding issues that I know of -- and it solves the aforementioned manpages issue.

Now checking x86...
Comment 3 Michele Noberasco (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-05 01:15:35 UTC
Works fine here...
What about bugs #37767 and #134309 ?
Comment 4 Costin Stroie 2007-01-05 04:38:02 UTC
I understand, but 0.14.5 is the stable version in portage, for now. It should be fixed. Here is the patch to fix it (maybe creating a -r2 revision).

Marked 0.14.6 stable on ppc, it's been fine here for a while.
Comment 6 Michele Noberasco (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-17 11:28:26 UTC
Since the new version fixes an open issue and the other open bugs apply to the currently stable version, too, I prefer to mark the new version stable rather than add yet another revision. Thus, x86 stable.
