Two ebuilds attached... First is the stable (0.4.2) version, second is the live cvs version. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 8472 [details] Stable ebuild
Created attachment 8473 [details] CVS Ebuild
You submitted the ebuilds as octet stream, not text plain :) Re submit them correctly please
They are both tarballs actually... There's digests and patches needed, so it just seemed easier for everyone this way.
I always do "save link as ...", and, then, the filename proposed is the link, so, since you said it was ebuilds ... I did click only, it works fine.
The cvs ebuild currently does not work. I might take a guess that the cvs version might need to be linked against the cvs of mozilla and not 1.3b. Error attached below. ../embed/.libs/libephyembed.al(GlobalHistory.lo)(.gnu.linkonce.d._ZTV16MozGlobalHistory+0x8c): undefined reference to `non-virtual thunk [nv:-4] to MozGlobalHistory::OutputReferrerURL(char const*, char const*)' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [epiphany] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/epiphany-cvs-0.4.2.99/work/epiphany/src' make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/epiphany-cvs-0.4.2.99/work/epiphany/src' make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 !!! Created attachment 9061 [details] -r3'd cvs ebuild This ebuild fixes that problem. Please don't report problems with the ebuild here... It's not an official ebuild, so either use the thread on the forums (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=36455) or you can report em at http://bugs.breakmygentoo.net...
Supporting the stable 0.4.2 is a bad idea until we have a stable Mozilla 1.3 in the tree, and I will not include more -cvs builds, since people never seem to learn that we -do not support- -cvs builds. Also, the build needs a check for gtk2 mozilla or not, or it will simply fail with obscure errors. marking for Later
0.4.2 is far from stable anyway and i doubt it even builds with any of the late mozillas.
Created attachment 10611 [details] Ebuild for new version, complete with checking gtk2-ness of moz.... Ebuild updated for new version, also added the code from galeon-cvs to check for moz being compiled with gtk2.
open so i can resolve
epiphany releases have been in for a while, currently at 0.7.0
