Description Lónyai Gergely 2007-01-01 03:19:06 UTC
<ti><c>dhcpcd</c></ti>
  <ti><c>net-misc/dhcpcd</c></ti>
  <ti>
    Long time Gentoo default, no reliance on outside tools
  </ti>
  <ti>
    No longer maintained upstream, can be slow at times, does not daemonize
    when lease is infinite
  </ti>

... versus ...

Updated net-misc/dhcpcd-2.x.x to 3.0.x?
Comment 1 nm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-01 03:24:35 UTC
The only fixes it ever seems to get are patches added in by Gentoo developers, but Gentoo hardly qualifies as upstream (although UberLord has put in a tremendous amount of work on it). Not a bug, closing.
Comment 2 Jan Kundrát (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-03 11:29:32 UTC
20:27 <@Uber> jkt|: i am the new upstream, the handbook needs to be updated regarding that
Comment 3 nm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-03 12:07:13 UTC
Good to know Uber is it!
Comment 4 nm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-03 12:12:50 UTC
Fixed in CVS. Thanks to jkt for double-checking and to UberLord for answering a few of my questions on IRC.

What are you doing? Don't reopen this. It was already fixed, as I said in comment #4. It was properly revbumped as well.
