 * This package will need access to 3 cds.

 * If you do not have the CDs, but have the data files
 * mounted somewhere on your filesystem, just export
 * the following variables so they point to the right place:
 *  CD_ROOT_1 CD_ROOT_2 CD_ROOT_3
 * Or, if you have all the files in the same place, or
 * you only have one cdrom, you can export CD_ROOT
 * and that place will be used as the same data source
 * for all the CDs.

 * For example:
 * export CD_ROOT_1=/mnt/cdrom

 * Please insert+mount cd #1 for ut2003-data now !
 * Press return to scan for the cd again
 * or hit CTRL+C to abort the emerge.

 * If you are having trouble with the detection

 * Joliet support enabled in your kernel. Please
 * check that CONFIG_JOLIET is enabled in your kernel.

Please attach a file showing the contents of those 3 CDs.

Right. I just tested this again locally and it works perfectly for me. I'm suspecting your CD is a different edition of some kind, however, the failure appears to be in uncompressing, which usually means a bad CD.

It's possible. In order to check it, i will inclose a list of the content of the CDs.

StaticMeshes is on disk *two*, and the ebuild makes no reference to StaticMeshes (apart from the "cdrom_get_cds" line) until disk 2. So that error doesn't make sense. "Copying files from Disk 2..." should be seen *before* any mention of StaticMeshes.

Sounds like a custom ebuild was used.
Comment 8 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-03-13 02:42:43 UTC
I'd agree. If this isn't the case, feel free to REOPEN it with more information.
