looks like there is a problem with the configuration you have for dbus. Did you run etc-update ? Are you trying to start those services by hand or with gentoo init scripts ?

Hi Gilles, I havent touched the dbus configuration.. It was a freash gnome install. Anyway, Restarting dbus solved the problem.
