This should be fixed in ipw3945-1.1.3, will need to be stabilized for 2.6.19 kernels... Please test and report back.

Uhm, what does the same again? I told you to use ipw3945-1.1.3 and you can back to complain that 1.1.0-r1 does not work? Of course it does not, noone ever said it does. This is fixed in >=1.1.3-r2, read the fine Changelog. ipw3945-1.1.3-r2 (08 Jan 2007) 08 Jan 2007; Robin H. Ok i'm sorry, the last update was a "downdate" in this respect the old version sneaked in unnoticed because i didn't put it in /etc/portage/package.unmask (only in ...keywords) now it back working the -r2 version didn't compile though, from the tone of your response i assume you have enough stuff else on you so don't bother the base version is just fine
