Hello, I thought this would be useful. Can we get it in Portage for testing? Juan

More info: This is nothing more than an upgrade to provide maildrop and syslog support with my attached patchset. I am submitting my patchset to the clamassassin devs. Juan

Juan, the idea sounds interesting, but let's wait for upstream dev(s) opinion. The patch needs some more cleaning, though - no point in including changes to "configure" file, for example, as it is generated by autotools.
Sounds good. As far as upstream dev, maybe if gentoo bugs him about it, he might do it. I just got sick of waiting for the clamassassin dev to get his butt in gear. I made the request for maildrop support well over year ago, so if he's not going to do it, someone has to. Juan
The patch needs to be updated for mail-filter/clamassassin-1.2.4 (3 of 15 hunks fail to apply). It appears that clamassassin's author could be too busy to check the mailing list associated with clamassassin. So he must not be interested in adding this patch upstream... Juan: It's up to you to pursue this further if you're still interested AFAIK.
I guess he is not interested. Closing. This looks like an abandoned project.
