Description sfp-a7x 2006-12-28 11:31:16 UTC
None of the net-fs/openafs-kernel ebuilds call linux-mod_pkg_postinst in pkg_postinst. This prevents net-fs/openafs-kernel from being added to moduledb (used by sys-kernel/module-rebuild to identify which packages need to be rebuilt after a kernel upgrade).

Erm, linux-mod.eclass exports those functions, so they are automagically called unless redefined in the ebuild.

Ah, silly me. Unlike the other kernel module packages I have installed, openafs-kernel wasn't added to moduledb last time I emerged it, so I assumed that linux-mod_pkg_postinst needed to be called manually. I just re-emerged openafs-kernel and sure enough it's now in moduledb. I'll investigate why it wasn't added to moduledb last time and open a separate bug if I identify the cause (if necessary).

Thanks!
