(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug)
'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached
to this bug.
This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the
main tree.
Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us.
We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time.

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Jeremy.

Fiust off, this ebuild is now in sunrise.

This ebuild has a number of problems with it (which unfortunately, I don't have time to fix all of)

1./ Like ns, this should be in net-analyzer. It is not a c++ dev tool.
2./ Required Dependencies in portage, not in the ebuild:
dev-tcltk/blt
3./ Required Dependencies not in portage, not in the ebuild:
giftrans ( http://www.abdn.ac.uk/tools/ibmpc/giftrans/index.hti )
4./ Optional Dependencies not in portage, not in the ebuild:
akaroa (http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/research/RG/net_sim/simulation_group/akaroa/about.chtml)
5./ Other Deps: The configure mentions MPI, but does not use sys-cluster/openmpi-1.2.9.

6./ Other problems: The ./configure looks for 'wish', and the check involves a call to $DISPLAY. Thus, for a virtual terminal owned by $USER, and su -'d to root, the build fails. It works as $USER using sudo. {not sure how to fix this without finding out more and pushing this problem upstream}

I have to use OMNeT++ for my project, so I have made this ebuild for 4.1.

I make a path to the configuration stage in order to pass the sixth issue in the above commit.

I hope this can help anyone who want this software on gentoo.

omnetpp 4.1 update

A update version omnetpp 4.1. It works with MiXiM.
Comment 8 Michael Duelli 2011-02-25 16:39:01 UTC
With the ebuild for 4.1 I get an error e.g. when loading the tictoc ned file:

Well. I also get the error when I run the tictoc example. It looks like the upstream issue

Comment 10 Y Liu 2011-03-19 03:07:30 UTC
The above post is the when I manually compile the omnetpp. It also has the issue. I will try to report this issue to the upstream.

Fix omnetpp with sun-jdk-1.6.0.24

This ebuild is a workaround for the above issue.

This is the upstream eclipse issue with sun-jdk-1.6.0.24.

Any feedbacks are welcomed.

omnetpp 4.2.1

A rename of omnetpp 4.2
Comment 14 Patrick Lauer gentoo-dev 2013-03-01 03:41:26 UTC
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "=dev-lang/tcl-8.4*".
(dependency required by "dev-cpp/omnetpp-3.3::sunrise" [ebuild])
(dependency required by "dev-cpp/omnetpp" [argument])

So let's see if we can get something useful into sunrise at least ...
Comment 15 Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2016-06-08 16:05:55 UTC
It seems that this package is no longer in Sunrise.
