My AP (and many APs for that matter) are not supported by the version of ap-utils in Gentoo at this time. The current stable version is 1.3.1, and for this version I have modified the existing 1.0.5 ebuild ever so slightly. Note, the file now comes from SF mirrors, so I grabbed the first mirror that it would actually download the file from. Note #2, my AP is of the atmel type. The current version of ap-utils provides ap-atmel, which not only failed to identify my AP, but actually hosed it in the process of trying! An actual reset of the firmware to known safe values fixed this, however it was quite annoying. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: How about steps to produce a solution?: 1. stick ebuild in correct directory 2. emerge it 3. run ap-config Actual Results: It worked with my Belkin wireless AP (after resetting the AP to undo the damage done by ap-atmel 1.0.5..) Expected Results: Well, it would have been nice if the version in Gentoo worked with my AP. ;) You know, all of these questions for an ebuild submission are kinda silly. =) Attachment of ebuild as soon as I have a bugnumber.
