/dev/hda2 swap
/dev/hda3 reiserfs /

/dev/hda7 reiserfs /usr
/dev/hda8 reiserfs /home

grub under /boot

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.follow install instructions on a dell inspiron 3800 notebook

Actual Results:  
can't boot, can't even create a floppy that works to boot with grub

Expected Results:  
grub should have presented the choices and allowed me to boot.

Make sure you don't have the "notail" option enabled in /etc/fstab . 
 
Also, make VERY sure that you have enable ReiserFS support in your kernel, and your 
kernel installed properly (I once forgot to copy kernel to /boot :o)

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
