Description Jeff Huffman 2006-12-23 03:41:52 UTC
I can't seem to install any extensions to my user profile with seamonkey. they all seem to want write access to /usr/lib/seamonkey even when they think they're installing to my profile. This could be a bad path in the ebuild/makefile I suppose. Produced with adblock plus and a few other extensions.

I suppose I left out some important info there:

www-client/seamonkey-1.0.6 USE="crypt -debug -gnome -ipv6 -java -ldap -mozcalendar -mozdevelop -moznocompose -moznoirc -moznomail -moznopango -moznoroaming -postgres -xinerama -xprint"

another user I was talking to on IRC tested this with a clean profile and got the same result.

(just mention if you need my emerge --info)

Comment 4 Jory A. Pratt 2006-12-23 19:13:27 UTC
This really needs to go upstream .. we do not do anything to the extension manager to be causing this breakage, I am able to duplicate it but even upstream is baffled by it.
Comment 5 Jeff Huffman 2006-12-23 19:24:20 UTC
I was just starting to come to the same conclusion from my own poking around, I'll pursue this with the upstream devs.
