Description Fabio Catarinella 2006-12-22 06:57:32 UTC
I'm using net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta5-r2 with the following USE flags:

USE="avahi bonjour crypt dbus gnutls gstreamer gtk msn nls perl spell ssl startup-notification tcl xscreensaver -cjk -console -custom-cflags -debug -doc -eds -gadu -groupwise -meanwhile -mono -qq -sasl -silc -tk" 0 kB

Whenever recieving a filetransfer over the MSN procotol, gaim segfaults.
It seems not related to a certain filetype/person.
Running gaim -d doesn't give any extra info, a simple "Segfault" line is all.

net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta5-r1 shows the same behavior.

Actually clicking the "Send file" button on any contact crashes it too.
Recompiling with debug now, lets see what gdb says. ;)

net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta5-r2 with USE="debug gnutls gstreamer gtk msn nls perl spell ssl xscreensaver -avahi -bonjour -cjk -console -crypt -custom-cflags -dbus -doc -eds -gadu -groupwise -meanwhile -mono -qq -sasl -silc -startup-notification -tcl -tk"

Clicking the "Send file" from the right-click menu on a contact shows the following backtrace:

Comment 3 Fabio Catarinella 2006-12-22 07:29:35 UTC
I'm using sys-apps/dbus-0.62-r2 btw.
Comment 4 Fabio Catarinella 2006-12-22 08:27:05 UTC
Removing the .gaim dir seemed to fix the problem.

Any changes there since the vanilla beta5 ebuild?
That was the last version that didn't show this behavior.

Sorry for the invalid bugreport?
