Description Boyd Waters 2003-02-17 14:03:38 UTC
Why the removal of crypto-sources?

I have an encrypted root partition, so I need the encrypted loopback in order to
boot my machine.

BUT I have experienced significant, consistent problems with firewire in the
post-2.4.19 kernels. So I need the option to use a 2.4.19, which rules out
gentoo-sources or lolo-sources.

I will check on using a gentoo-sources-2.4.19 kernel --- but I'd rather have my
known-working kernel as an option! (Yes, I have a backup of this ebuild...)

Thanks VERY MUCH for the WONDERFUL kernel options available in Gentoo!

Drop crypto-sources, please use xfs, lolo, or gentoo-sources.

lolo has crypto api in it so it should work for you ...
