Robert has done a good job on LCD related bugs and will join us for bug squashing with that herd. He also has good upstream contacts there so it would be a great value for us (Yeah, he made those fancy G15 keyboards work for us :) ). For the other part of his gentoo time, he'll help us with netmon bug squashing. I proxied his contributions for quite some time now and he does a good job there. I (jokey) will be his mentor.
I will be reviewing your quizes. Just sent them to recruiters@gentoo.org when you get the ok from your mentor. After that ping me on IRC and we will review them. Please note that you should be responsive during the recruiting process and just ping me if you think that nothing is happening.
We reviewed his quizes and I was happy with his knowledge level. I received a ssh2 public key from in email too so I will be setting him up tomorrow.
Following things done: -LDAP -Bugzilla account changed to rbu@gentoo.org -Subscribed to -core -Added auto-ops to #gentoo-dev Other stuff still to be done so you can't login to dev.gentoo.org yet. The LDAP password was sent as an encrypted mail to the mail of the GPG key you provided.
Ok you can access dev.gentoo.org now. What you need to do: - subscribe to mailing lists with @gentoo.org address - request forum status bump from from amne or tomk (if you have a forums account) - copy your public key to authorized_keys on dev.gentoo.org (cvs.gentoo.org is not fully LDAP enabled yet) - send yourself mail to create .maildir - add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org ) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org What recruiters still need to do - IRC cloak (christel) - announcement on gentoo-dev
announcement sen to gentoo-dev

Seems to me that all works. Thanks a lot to christel and everyone involved. Especially to betelgeuse, you are fast as a lightning :-)
I think my time has come. After being away for a while now, I have decided not to return as a Gentoo developer. My focus simply has changed. Thank you to everyone for a long and really good ride.
Robert, we'll give you the usual 15 days to reconsider before proceeding with the retirement.
