Description Jey 2006-12-16 15:57:05 UTC
When I try to install the "xf86-video-nv" package, I got an error message.

First here is the "emerge --info":

Now I hope this is enough for you. This is my first bug report here.
Tell me if you need more information.
I have a Gentoo freshly installed from a 2006.1 DVD.
Thanks.

That's pretty messed.

I noticed from your emerge --info that you're running older versions of some core packages. For example: glibc-2.4-r3, but 2.4-r4 is stable, and linux-headers-2.6.11-r2 when 2.6.17 is stable. Did you rebuild your world when you installed?
Comment 2 Jey 2007-01-11 13:50:39 UTC
Sorry,

you were right. I rebuilt my world and all is ok now for this package.
Thanks.
