Description Łukasz Michalik 2006-12-14 11:37:21 UTC
It's really hard to get Gentoo working on 2.4 kernel. I got many problems just to boot. All docs actually say is to switch profile, change couple kernel opts and merge devfsd. And althought there is an up-to-date no-nptl stage availaible, there's nowhere written (or -- I didn't find it) what has to be downgraded before you can make your system work.
I realise that having 2.4 Linux nowadays is designated to be experts thing, but the lack of documantation in this matter is strange comparing to mainstream intalation.

You're looking for help with installation. The proper place for it is either #gentoo on IRC, or better yet, the helpful folks on the forums:

Closing, not a bug.
