Description Guilherme Balena Versiani 2006-12-08 08:02:08 UTC
I attached a script that creates svscan-related directories and scripts for bitlbee (it does a work similar to dnscache-setup available in net-dns/djbdns ebuild). Please evaluate it.

I don't see the useful of this script.
All the configuration of bitlbeed can be made configuration files

Sure you can do it by hand, but this script does a work in the same way as dnscache-setup script of Gentoo net-dns/djbdns. Remember when we use svscan (instead of inetd), we need to create a directory tree. That work is not trivial for the beginner user, and it spend some time even for the most experienced.

AFAIK, bitlbeed running stand-alone is not stable as when used with inetd or with svscan.
