Created attachment 8300 [details] Ebuild for PHP Accelerator support
Created attachment 9657 [details] php-accelerator-1.3.3_p2.ebuild Here is a much improved ebuild that supports different PHP versions, and should work on alpha platforms (untested). Note that PHP accelerator is only distributed in binary form :-( Regards, Tom
Note that pkg_setup really needs to be run before emerge fetches any files. I'm not sure how to do this. Is there a pkg_prefetch function or equivalent? Tom
When Ion-Cube makes a release for PHP 4.3.2, then update this bug (reopen it)
Robin, I spoke to Nick at ionCube today. He says that 1.3.3r2 already works with PHP 4.3.2. The ionCube forums also has users posting success on this. The only problems have been reported against Apache 2. That's no great loss, seeing as PHP on Apache 2 isn't something that works for everyone yet anyway. Can someone with the relevant privs re-open this bug please? And can we get the ebuild into wider circulation? PHP performs like a dog without an accelerator installed, and even PHP.net uses PHPA for acceleration. Thanks, Stu --
Reopened.
Ebuild for phpAccelerator-1.3.3r2 has now been committed to Portage.
