As lately (lately?) CIA is often down or slow, committing to overlays.gentoo.org can hang for an indefinite time waiting to submit the commits through XML-RPC interfaces. Our CVS does not have this problem as it mails out the commits rather than using XML-RPC. Would it be possible to use mail interface for overlays.gentoo.org too, so that commits won't stop dead while CIA is down? (they'll still drop dead when the mailserver is down, but this is way less frequent). Thanks, Diego
Can't do much about it
But I'd like to request an update to subversion update to >= 1.4 for speed improvement
Ramereth told me he couldn't do it...
well /etc/ciabot-svn/config.py is root:root -rw-r--r-- so I can't do much about it, only infra people can
Maintaining an own implementation of the script now, seems we can't rely on internal partys
Sorry for being slow to reply to this. I just changed the permissions on that file so that anyone in the goverlays group can edit it. -rw-rw-r-- 1 root goverlays 3092 Jul 16 19:43 /etc/ciabot-svn/config.py Cheers-
