At all the commenters of this bug using gentoo: please recompile your KPDF *without* the poppler patch. KPDF of KDE 3.x does not use poppler at all.

Also seen in ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/Manuals/Desktops/XL1/XL1_H_EN.pdf with kpdf 3.5.5 on my system (managed to get up to 4 GB of memory used by the time I closed konq).

Just making sure that you guys know about it. I did a quick search but found nothing.

Changing summary to something meaningful; besides it's most likely dupe of Bug 138921 and the referenced upstream bug is completely unrelated and irrelevant.

Closing the bug, as current KPDF ebuilds don't include the poppler patch anymore.
