Description Ian Truelsen 2003-02-15 06:00:21 UTC
while doing emerge world I get:

minion root # emerge world -up

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies /
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=media-video/transcode-0.6.2" have been masked.
!!! (dependency required by "media-video/dvdrip-0.48.8" [ebuild])

I do have transcode installed:

minion root # emerge -s transcode

They do, but there is no transcode 0.6.2 or newer ebuild. Transcode 0.6.3 has
already been released, however. Transcode 0.6.2 is out since 2002-11-22.
I don't know the reasons why there is now newer ebuild, especially because
the new dvdrip requires it. I'd really like to know why. It prevents me from performing
emerge -u world, and I don't want to inject it.
