Description Devon Miller 2006-12-03 15:33:23 UTC
When midentd is installed, it installs a spec for xinetd in /etc/xinetd.d/midentd.xinetd.

Xinetd will not see the file unless it's renamed to midentd because xinetd will not parse a filename containing a period ('.').

Either change the file name installed, or patch the /usr/share/doc/midentd-x.x.x/README.gz and /etc/xinetd.d/mident.xinetd to reflect that the file must be renamed before xinetd will honor it.
