I run a "stable" system, and now app-mobilephone/gammu-1.09.00 is marked stable. I got the following error:

We seem to have different notions about "stable".
I, for instance, would consider an ~arch keyworded ebuild as "testing" version.

Oops! Sorry! I forgot I added gammu to package.keywords.
