Description ainu 2006-11-29 11:19:33 UTC
hi,

hope the bug is correct filled in.

the latest brasero doesn`t work with the latest cdrtools. the error message says it doesn`t support that version of mkisofs.

so i downgraded cdrtools to 2.01-r3 and everything is fine.

the ebuild should be corrected.

thnx

There are some changes in changelog (http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/gentoo-x86/app-cdr/brasero/ChangeLog), I think that you should try to re-emerge brasero :-/

Good luck!
Comment 6 Daniel Kenzelmann 2007-01-29 20:59:25 UTC
Pacho, did you try to create a new CD?
(File Image target shows the error too, you don't have to sacrifice a CD-R)

Burning an image will NOT show the error as it is the mkisofs call which gives the error, the reason for the error is that the -q flag is not supported any more, brasero should issue -quiet instead

process (BraseroMkisofs) got varg:
	mkisofs
	-r
	-graft-points
	-D
	-path-list
	/tmp/brasero_tmp_09BAbt/brasero_tmp_QO5SMT
	-exclude-list
	/tmp/brasero_tmp_09BAbt/brasero_tmp_9L5SMT
	-q
	-print-size
process (BraseroMkisofs) launching command
process (BraseroMkisofs) stderr: Bad Option '-q' (error -1 BADFLAG).
process (BraseroMkisofs) stdout: HUP
process (BraseroMkisofs) stderr: Usage: mkisofs [options] [-find] file... [find expression]
process (BraseroMkisofs) stderr:
process (BraseroMkisofs) stderr: Use mkisofs -help

I burned two CD-RW two years ago succesfully with brasero and latest cdrtools (from testing) :-/

Make sure that your ISO is ok :-|

But I think that could be better put this patch for having a working brasero version in portage :-)

Thanks a lot
