Description Hans Halvorson 2006-11-28 13:24:54 UTC
/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info contains "last full capacity: 4601 mAh". But /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state contains "remaining capacity: 4800 mAh". Obviously, these two contradict each other.

We are lacking paranormal skills, sorry. At minimum post info about your hardware, kernel version and attach kernel .config.

Gentoo bug wranglers are always so kind and gentle. Here is some more information.

# uname -a

Linux localhost 2.6.16-suspend2-r8 #2 PREEMPT Sun Sep 3 20:07:43 EDT 2006 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.86GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
Comment 4 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-28 16:25:14 UTC
We don't support suspend2-sources - http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-kernel.xml#doc_chap3

If you can reproduce the issue w/ latest version of some supported kernel, then reopen this bug. And, by hardware info I meant relevant information about your hardware, not uname -a.

... I thought that suspend2 was a patchset for suspending, and did not alter basic acpi functionality. Are you saying that the suspend2 patches have messed up acpi?? Should I report this to the suspend2 maintainers?
