Portage says compiz 0.2.0 has been removed, just the 0.3.2 version remained. The problem is compiz-0.3.2 has some dependencies from gnome 2.16, which hasn't already made it to stable.
Please get back compiz 0.2 in portage.

compiz has never been stable on any arch, fail to see the problem here.
