I have attached in XML format the 'QUICKSTART GUIDE TO Mutt E-MAIL-using the powerful command line tools': fetchmail procmail mutt SMTP' My idea was to write a howto for people used to gui mail clents, who might not know the benefits of the command line tools or think them too much work to set up. So everything for a simple setup is included along with a test at each step of the way to verify a correct setup and prevent the frustrations of misconfiguration and non-working setups. I wanted to make it easy and fool-proof for normal gui users to try the classic, powerful and highly customizable *nix tools. -- Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. assign this XML guide to docs-team@gentoo.org

Minor edits, well done. Added to cvs.
Two minor changes you might make: For the first time user its probably important to add this line to the .muttrc file : so they see the threads at test #3. set sort=threads #sort by message threads in index Also these lines are not applicable to gentoo's /etc/mutt/Muttrc: The system configuration in /etc/mutt/Muttrc has set smime lines for ~/.smime files which must be created or commented out for our test, else Mutt will complain about not finding them.
Updated in cvs. Thank you.
