Alhtough the ebuild is for ~x86 only, I got it working for ~amd64 but I had to change the mplayer dependency as I am using mplayer-bin (I simply changed although of course both packages should work). I also removed the pre-install bit (that does not make sense with mplayer-bin). Works fine. To be complete: I have /usr/bin/mplayer pointing to /usr/bin/mplayer-bin (otherwhise slimserver does not find it)

We can't do that link as it would lead to a collision between mplayer and mplayer-bin. If you could provide a patch so that slimserver-alienbbc can be configured which executable to use, that would be great. Until then I can't keyword this ~amd64, sorry.
