Description Brian Harring (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-23 22:31:04 UTC
package.unmask in profiles doesn't do anything... commit message being "Fixed bogus line package.mask" which... well, it can't fix anything since portage will _not_ read package.unmask out of $PORTDIR profiles.

Only place package.unmask is usable is /etc/portage/

So... what gives? Fat fingers, or...
Comment 1 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-25 08:24:08 UTC
The only package that's unmasked in there is app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-glibc, which is removed from the tree anyways.
Comment 2 Brian Harring (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-26 00:32:16 UTC
I repeat... that file doesn't do anything; so it didn't even manage the unmasking ;)
Comment 3 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-26 04:31:22 UTC
Well ok, replace "unmasked" with "listed".

it was a real challenge, but i think i was able to fix this bug by the deleting the files. *bows*
