syncml-obex-client cannot sync with '>=dev-libs/libwbxml-0.9.2' but works alright with patched 'dev-libs/libwbxml-0.9.0'.

Patched wbxml2-0.9.0 in accordance to OpenSync dev instructions.

By changing the dependency in libsyncml-0.4.2.ebuild to >=dev-libs/libwbxml-0.9.0 syncing works ok.

It's strange cause 0.9.2 has all the changes from the patch and http://www.opensync.org/wiki/syncml-guide says to use 0.9.2 *or* patched 0.9.0.
Could you post a way to reproduce the error? I will test it tomorrow anyway.

I have added a patch to libsyncml, which is claimed to fix some wbxml problems. Please try 0.4.2-r1.

0.4.2-r1 solved my sync problems with a Nokia N70!
