Tested, encoded two HD WMV files to Xvid 1.1.2 via mencoder. Encoded via the following mencoder Coral_Reef_Adventure_1080.wmv -ovc xvid -oac mp3lame -xvidencopts fixed_quant=4 -o test.avi Playback was successful, no problems seen on EMT64 platform. Let's get'er done, Thank you, Frank Russo
I tested it too. No problems on AMD XP 2000+ with mplayer 1.0-rc1 and xvid 1.1.2. I encoded and played back several files. Who put it in the portage tree?
why is the new version 1.1.2 not in the portage tree?
(In reply to comment #4) > why is the new version 1.1.2 not in the portage tree? Because the 1.1.0 patches still applies to 1.1.2. I'm testing 1.1.2, I'll bump it when I'll be happy with it, that'll be probably on the beginning of next week. (testing xvid encoding takes time ;) ) Please ping me if I forget to commit it ;)
In cvs, bumping earlier than expected since all my tests were succesfull ;)
(In reply to comment #6) > In cvs, bumping earlier than expected since all my tests were succesfull ;) that is amusing me because of this: "Wednesday 01. of November 2006 Xvid 1.1.2 released" it was released about 3 month ago!

This would be amusing if the dev get paid for that work (and only for that). But we all have plenty of packages to look at.
