Description Guenther Brunthaler 2006-11-19 00:26:45 UTC
When installing

media-sound/vkeybd-0.1.15-r1

and trying to run

$ vkeybd

the following error message occurs:

Error in startup script: couldn't read file "/usr/share/vkeybd/vkeybd.tcl": no such file or directory

And indeed - it seems the ebuild incorrecly installs most components of that ebuild into the /usr/local hierarchy, instead of /usr/.

Comment 3 Alexis Ballier gentoo-dev 2006-11-25 03:01:33 UTC
Fixed in -r2.

-r1 was ignoring cflags, ldflags & pre stripping binaries.
It might be a good idea to stabilize -r2, ccing arches.

hmm.. this version has only been in the tree for less than 24 hours. I think we should wait a bit more before stabilizing.

*vkeybd-0.1.15-r1 (18 Jul 2005)

and it is buggy, -r2 fixes the problem...

 A good reason. x86 plays fine.
Comment 8 Malcolm Lashley (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-26 16:25:53 UTC
amd64 done. Alexis, did you miss sparc from the cc for some reason? If so go ahead and close - if not - you might want to add them :)
Comment 9 Alexis Ballier gentoo-dev 2006-11-26 21:45:36 UTC
Well, sparc had no stable version, no need to bump this one into stable just for fun.
