Are you sure that you didn't run out of disk space? (On a side note, you are definitely not supposed to have two glibc versions installed at the same time: glibc-2.5-r0,glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1 - hmmm?)

I will see if I can uninstall one version, and try openoffice once more (compiling fails after ~1 h, so it's not very time-consuming).
(In reply to comment #2) Sorry, for selfreply. Uninstalled the old glibc version, and emerged again. Again failed with the same error. > Yes, quite sure. I searched for a partition with >6 GB free space and mounted > it to /var/tmp/portage. On this partition there is now still 4.9 GB space left. I checked it again. I copy'd some files to this location: no problem at all (and I don't think it has something to do with the fact, that my machine is diskless/rootfs over nfs)
Please reduce your CFLAGS to something more generic and then try again
(In reply to comment #4) > Please reduce your CFLAGS to something more generic and then try again > Same error with blank CFLAGS

Ok, I think the problem lies not in OO. Since I had the exact same problem today with the 2.1.0 build, I mounted under /var/tmp a real hard disk partition (my boxes are all diskless with rootfs over nfs) and it build fine now. Sorry for that.
