Description Kai Krakow 2006-11-16 12:25:09 UTC
beagle-0.2.12 fails the configure tests:

checking for BEAGLE_UI... configure: error: Package requirements (
        gtk-sharp-2.0 >= 2.4.0
        gconf-sharp-2.0 >= 2.4.0
        glade-sharp-2.0 >= 2.4.0
        gnome-sharp-2.0 >= 2.4.0
        gnome-vfs-sharp-2.0 >= 2.4.0
        gmime-sharp >= 2.2.0
) were not met:

No package 'gconf-sharp-2.0' found
No package 'gnome-sharp-2.0' found
No package 'gnome-vfs-sharp-2.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables BEAGLE_UI_CFLAGS
and BEAGLE_UI_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

Never attach compressed files -- make it easy for us to view them. Please attach config.log again, uncompressed.

Comment 6 Kai Krakow 2006-12-05 14:35:26 UTC
This problem still persists in app-misc/beagle-0.2.13...
Comment 7 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-05 15:44:22 UTC
it seems a bug caused by your unnatural cflags/ldflags you know we don't support those. Try recompiling every dotnet app again i don't see any other failure than that.
Comment 8 Kai Krakow 2006-12-17 14:33:24 UTC
I rebuilt my complete system with USE="-gtk" which also affected beagle. As I don't need GTK support in most packages this fixes the problem for me. I tried rebuilding with normal CFLAGS and empty LDFLAGS which didn't work. Seems to be GTK related. My system has USE="gtk" on just one package now left (freeciv ;-).
Comment 9 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2007-02-10 22:22:30 UTC
Is this still valid for 0.2.16 (currently in stable)?
Comment 10 Kai Krakow 2007-02-10 22:36:03 UTC
Give me some time and I'll test...
Comment 11 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2007-03-03 23:13:09 UTC
I have beagle-0.2.16.2 compiled with gtk USE flag with no problem :-/
