What version of system-tools-backends, gnome-system-tools do you currently have installed?
Comment 2 Priit Laes (IRC: plaes) 2007-01-03 09:44:35 UTC
Happens both with system-tools-backends-1.4 and 2.1.
Apparently there is new gnome-system-tools long available, but this depends on liboobs.
Comment 3 Xake 2007-01-04 07:39:21 UTC
...and the file your errormessages tells you to attach, what does it say? For mine it told me to downgrade stb from 2.x to 1.x which worked for m but without it I can't see if this is something similar.
Comment 4 Priit Laes (IRC: plaes) 2007-01-05 02:38:48 UTC
The contents of the file are:

configure.in:198: error: possibly undefined macro:
AM_PATH_SYSTEM_TOOLS_BACKENDS
      If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
      See the Autoconf documentation.
Comment 5 Mart Raudsepp gentoo-dev 2007-01-09 04:28:36 UTC
Weird. It should find it inside /usr/share/aclocal/system-tools-backends.m4 as installed by system-tools-backends package. Works for me at least:
checking for system-tools-backends >= 1.3.0... yes (/usr/share/setup-tool-backends/scripts)
Comment 6 Priit Laes (IRC: plaes) 2007-01-16 19:17:36 UTC
Apparently this one will be deprecated anyway with liboobs and g-s-t-2.17

Marking WONTFIX...
