Description Karl-Robert Ernst 2006-11-15 06:13:14 UTC
Hello,
these modelines are written in the "Monitor"-Section of my xorg.conf because I am not able to run my CRT at the specified modes without these lines:
Modeline "1280x960@100" 178.992 1280 1376 1520 1760 960 961 964 1017 +hsync +vsync
Modeline "1280x1024@100" 190.960 1280 1376 1520 1760 1024 1025 1028 1085 +hsync +vsync

With ati-drivers-8.29.6 everything works just fine. But when using ati-drivers-8.30.3-r1 X crashes for the following reason:

(II) fglrx(0): Primary Controller - CRT on secondary DAC
(II) fglrx(0): Internal Desktop Setting: 0x00000008
(II) fglrx(0): POWERplay not supported on this hardware

Backtrace:
0: /usr/bin/X(xf86SigHandler+0x85) [0x80ca1d5]
1: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/fglrx_drv.so [0xb74a43fd]
2: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/fglrx_drv.so(DALCWDDE+0x1a2) [0xb74a2aa2]
3: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/fglrx_drv.so(swlDalHelperAddCustomizeMode+0x1a9) [0xb743f449]
4: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/fglrx_drv.so(atiddxPreInit+0x9fb) [0xb741774b]
5: /usr/bin/X(InitOutput+0x9bc) [0x809d171]

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 4. Server aborting

If i put a "#" in front of the 2 modelines X doesn't crash, but like I mentioned in the beginning I am not able to use 1280x1024@100Hz.
