Description Ben Lamothe 2003-02-11 16:24:05 UTC
I merged gnome, and nautilus wouldn't merge. I installed nautilus from source using
prefix="/usr/share" successfully, but gnome didn't recognize it. I even put the nautilus tarball
in /usr/portage/disfiles, just in case the tarball portage was downloading was defective, and that
still didn't fix the problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Emerge GNOME
2.Then the quicktime4linux error comes up, inject it and the nautilus errors will come up, inject
them and install them from source with prefix="/usr/share" and GNOME still doesn't know its
there.
3.
Actual Results:
I didn't have nautilus enabled for gnome

Expected Results:
merged nautilus with gnome.

use the ebuilds, i cannot support installing packs by hand ofcourse. Come back with the problems you're seeing with the ebuilds.
