Description Alexandre Hamelin 2006-11-14 12:43:44 UTC
I tried to create a CVS ebuild for a package to be used internally at our office because some feature exists only the CVS version of the package.

I followed the Gentoo Development Guide at http://devmanual.gentoo.org/ebuild-writing/functions/src_unpack/cvs-sources/index.html but the manual specifies that ECVS_PASSWORD should contain the CVS password to be used when doing the checkout/update. But as mentioned in the examples it is in fact ECVS_PASS, which cost me a little extra time to figure out why the login didn't work. :) (Had to dig into the eclass to find out.)

Quick fix would be to replace ECVS_PASSWORD with ECVS_PASS in the documentation.

devmanual.gentoo.org is maintained by QA, altering assignment.

And it's actually hit the web server. Closing now, since apparently I forgot to do so the first time.
