Systems don't seem to like the default 'SEXYAL' sound system that fceultra uses (especially on AMD64 systems), but the SDL sound system works fine.  Here is a patch to disable SEXYAL and instead use SDL.  It basically just patches the configure.ac to turn off SEXYAL, I've also attached an updated e-build which applies the patch and does an eautoreconf ...

Bringing back old ghosts... I don't know if it's just on my system but the  fceultra-0.98.12-nosex.patch brakes the sound for every ROM.
Disabling it in the ebuild solves the problem
