Description gmud 2006-11-14 09:41:37 UTC
Today I emerged www-apps/viewcvs-0.9.3 and after the ebuild did output the following
 * This is an installation
 * viewcvs-0.9.3 is not installed - using install mode
 * Running //usr/sbin/webapp-config -I -h localhost -u root -d /viewcvs viewcvs 0.9.3
 *   Creating required directories
 *   Linking in required files
 * This can take several minutes for larger apps
 *   Files and directories installed

it took several minutes, then there where a lot "sed" errors like
sed: cannot read filexy: File or directory not found.
That files where all with "spaces" in its names.

ALL other files have been tampered with. This shouldn't be!!! This is a serious bug and the ebuild should be hard masked!

Perhaps it is a bug in webapps-config.

Fixed in www-apps/viewvc

I do not think this bug is fixed. I installed 0.9.3 which screwed up my files. (This package should really never happen!) Then I found this bug and installed www-apps/viewcvs-1.0_pre20050929 which did the same. Why does the 'find' include /var/www/localhost/htdocs anyway?

I'm using app-admin/webapp-config-1.50.15.
