Created attachment 103491 [details, diff] Fix compatibility with automake 0.10 I think this is an actual bug in the produced pam_tally.so, caused by the Makefile.am relying on the pre-automake-0.10 behaviour of adding AM_LDFLAGS to per-target LDFLAGS. Attached patch fixes it here.

Patch fixed broken -r2 for me on ppc, could this be included in -r3?
As of 0.99.7.0 linking should be correct for all modules (and hopefully will be fixed upstream too).
