Enlight helped me with that and you have display inside the udev-start.sh that
can be usefull to find what is going on.

Finally, since I'm fr_CA, the forum thread is in french :)

Well, so try w/ something newer and report back.

Comment 4 Sylvain Alain (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-18 23:12:11 UTC
I tried a newer version with no result.

But I found, that a french guy found what is the problem.
In fact, if you remove manually udev and all he files, you will not have the problem again.

There is the situation :
In the past, when a udev update was necessary, there was a bug between udev and baselayout, and the new config was partially updated, so there was some old script that was not updated correctly. The problem was first seen when the 2006.0 profile was lunch for the stable branch for x86 in the english forum for the version 0.97 and 0.98 version of udev.

We have to delete /etc/udev/, /etc/dev.d and lib/udev/
After that you have to reinstall udev and hal.

But,for my situation, it's only a warning, and I don't want to crash my Gentoo.
I have a Stage 4 from Blinkeye, but I don't want to push my luck.
Comment 5 Sylvain Alain (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-24 05:01:59 UTC
I tried LiveCD to clean up the UDEV with no succes, I have the same problem :(
Comment 6 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-24 06:01:59 UTC
Not reproducible at all. You have some stale junk in your udev rules.
