Description Andre Pang 2002-04-05 15:08:36 UTC
I had major problems installing Gentoo 1.0 on a KL133 motherboard because of video corruption. Please apply the patch (given in the URL) to Gentoo's
kernel so other people don't suffer from the same problem. This is already in the -ac kernel; it would be great if it could also go into the -mjc
kernel for further test coverage. The URL gives full details on what the patch does.

Severity is major since this makes the 2.4.18 kernels completely unusable for people who have KL133/KM133 motherboards, which are becoming more
common in small computers. Marcelo is willing to commit this to 2.4 if it gets further testing.

This is NOT a bug. In the future, please simply forward this patch to the
appropos maintainers. (in the case for the MJC branch, me@ohdarn.net)
