Description Matthew Kennedy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-12 16:19:28 UTC
Hector will be helping us with the Scheme Herd. He has the quiz details and has started work on them.

Hi I am Hector, I am a student majoring in CS in Mexico in UNAM. I have been using gentoo since 2002 and I though It was time to give some of my time to help the proyect. My interests are in programming languages, theory of computation and functional programming. Some of my non-computer related interests are: photography, reading and comic books.
Right now I am slowly but surely reading all the policies and guides to answer my ebuild quiz.

Hi Hector,

I am thrilled to see that you want to become a Gentoo Developer, you would need to find a mentor before we can start the recruitment process though. Usually the mentor is the person who files the New Dev Bug.

I am going to close this bug for now, and ask that you find a developer who has been with Gentoo for a minimum of 6 months to mentor you. If you run into problems finding one, I would urge you to come ask in #gentoo-devrel for assistance.

Thank you,
CHristel

I am terribly sorry, but as I read the introduction 'Hi, I am Hector...' etc I totally got the wrong end of the stick!

Ignore that! And Matthew, Hector,
Quizzes when ready.

Sorry to be a bit slow with the quiz but I have like 3 exams this week but I plan to finish them this weekend.

Guess we need to find another mentor for you, as Matthew retired some time ago.

Interested, yes. Allowed to mentor, no.

Hector, if you're still interested, please come to the #gentoo-lisp irc channel and I will see if I can find you a mentor.
