Kate Session Menu is a menu extension for Kicker, the KDE panel, that allows you to start a named session directly from the panel or K Menu. This is a small extension that would probably quicken the usage of kate for many people (including me). deps: - kde-3.5
Make subject more explicit...
Created attachment 115559 [details] Kate Session Manager kicker plugin As I also needed and love the kate session manager plugin for kicker, I made an ebuild. The current ebuild installs and compiles fine but throws an automake related error (broken pipe). I'm not sure if that is a problem so maybe an ebuild expert can look at it. At least it works for me.

Works for me on amd64. :] Thank you for the ebuild, I just started writing my own (I never wrote any usable ebuild so far) when I found yours. Just a few suggestions thought: - if the applet is called "Kate Session Menu" shouldn't the ebuild/package be called like that as well to avoid any confusion - if you're including a user-made ebuild, the proper keyword is EBUILD Thanks again for the ebuild! I sure hope it gets into portage soon.
Thanks for your comment, Matija. I even think I should move the ebuild's name to kicker-katesessionmenu or similar because it is a kicker plugin... So I will not change the keyword now...
Months of usage, still no noticable problems with the ebuild on amd64. Maybe it would be time to include it in portage (when time permits, of course)
Erm, actually this is obsolete since KDE 3.5.6 since it is included by default.
