The clamav stable version 0.88.6 is not part of portage tree. Immediately after doing an emerge --sync, version 0.88.5 of clamav is built and installed. When running this version, it complains that the libclamav engine is out of date. Functionally, there is no problem, but it is kind of unexpected to bring your system at the "bleeding edge" by doing emerge --sync and then seeing a message indicating something is "out of date". Looking at the release notes of 0.88.6 at http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=461171 the amount of changes is really minor, so this should be a quite low risk update.
