I was trying to prepare an ebuild for kile 1.4 when i came across this. 1.4 should mean an older version than 1.31. But then again i _suppose_ they actually mean 1.3.1 I don't know how to tackle this. Any suggestions ? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create ebuild for kile-1.4 2. Try to do emerge --update ( and it will ofcourse not merge it since 1.32 i 'newer' )
How about calling the ebuild kile-1.40? You won't be able to use $P as is. Might be able to use sed to strip off the last character of $P if it is 0...and then maybe use $NEW_P in your SRC_URI and S variables.
Has there been any luck with this new version? I am looking forward to see the new version, but i don't have any knowledge about those ebuild files... (and i don't understand why the system says that 1.4 is older than 1.31 or 1.3.1?)
why you aint remove/mask any old kile ebuilds?
Created attachment 8935 [details] Working ebuild... This ebuild works for me, now i've only got to learn how to submit these little buggers for inclusion in gentoo. I've got a dozen or so i've built :)
ok, moved kile-1.31 to 1.3.1 in profiles/updates/1Q-2003 and committed a kile-1.4.ebuild (currently markd ~x86). please report if kile-1.4 works for you (than we can move it to x86). thanks.
for now kile 1.4 works fine for me :)
kile 1.4 works for me... but maybe in the ebuild the dependancy should be on kde 3.1 and not on kde 3 (as stated on the website)
-'me to' Works for me :)
