Hi! Bugs related to building the documentation have been filed some time ago, but I'm not able to tell if this is a duplicate. This is basically a ~amd86 setup. I've tried to reemerge fontconfig, but that doesn't seem to help. Thanks Amir #Initializing FontConfig... error: exception caught: St9exception make[2]: *** [out/lilypond-internals.texi] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/media-sound/lilypond-2.8.0-r1/work/lilypond-2.8.0/Documentation/user' make[1]: *** [all] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/media-sound/lilypond-2.8.0-r1/work/lilypond-2.8.0/Documentation' make: *** [all] Error 2 !!! I just tried out what someone else did (comment #5 from bug #148515): cd /usr/portage/media-sound/lilypond cp lilypond-2.8.0-r1.ebuild lilypond-2.8.8.ebuild ebuild lilypond-2.8.8 digest emerge lilypond lilypond 2.8.8 works. thanks Amir
Same problem here on my ~amd64 box with the same exception. compiling lilypond-2.8.8 worked fine with the same environment. Is bumping the solution here? The exception is happening here after revdep-rebuild prompted by guile upgrade. I discovered that current stable is 2.10.20, and that it builds (and apparently works) without a problem. So I upgraded with the exact same .ebuild in my local overlay, and I hope a revision bump happens soon.
*** Bug 170793 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
please try a recent ebuild from bug 132706
please use 2.10.23 which doesn't build docs at the moment
